As part of our community focus, we were happy to welcome two young students to Cepac recently, to undertake some work experience.
The one-week introduction to the wider Cepac business gave Anna and Gracie the chance to learn about a manufacturing business and the systems and skillsets needed to work in a modern sustainable packaging business like ours.
Anna’s primary remit in the weeklong session was to focus on general business skills, with a specific emphasis on the promotion and understanding of sustainability. Gracie had requested a more focussed approach, very specifically looking at design and the implementation of product photography.
As we are all too well aware, encouraging the next generation of employees for any manufacturing business like Cepac is critical. As a business, we are very happy to showcase our company to interested students as they start to learn about work and career opportunities. With such practical work experience, we were able to show Anna and Gracie, firsthand, about workplace functions, including how people work together, interact and take responsibility for specific job roles and projects. Who knows, maybe these two eager students might be with us as colleagues in the next few years!
