NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) are the UK's leading children’s charity.
The NSPCC runs local service centres across the UK where it helps children, young people, and families. They are 100% funded by donations and the organisation also includes Childline.
We were thrilled to provide our local group with meeting facilities and lunch for their meeting on Thursday 1st of December at our Rawcliffe site. Whilst they were on site we also took some of their volunteers around the factory.
"The volunteers that attended all volunteer in the local area, providing workshops to children on how to Speak out about abuse. These volunteers are vital!
Being a charity, we have very tight budgets when it comes to sourcing venues for meetings. To be provided with such a central venue, with lunch provided, felt very extravagant.
It’s also wonderful because the volunteers support the schools in East Yorkshire and South Yorkshire, making this even more personal. All of the volunteers extended their appreciation and thanks."
