Cepac, the UK’s leading independent corrugated packaging producer, has reached a significant milestone for safety at its Rawcliffe site near Goole in Yorkshire.
Earlier this summer the team of packaging specialists achieved a total of 1,000 days without any lost time accidents. This status continues, with over three years now logged without lost time accidents.
Safety is at the forefront of the company culture at Cepac and employees are motivated to take ownership of safety and use various reporting methods to raise any concerns or issues. Monthly meetings are held to review employee suggestions and comments to support the elimination of any risks or hazards.
The milestone is a reflection of the company’s commitment to ensuring health and safety is treated as the priority.
Richard Moore, General Manager at Cepac Rawcliffe said: “We’re pleased to have a team of engaged employees who create a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement for the benefit of everyone in the business. Health and safety is the key element of our company values and we strive to create an environment where everybody can thrive and improve – working together to achieve more. It’s crucial that our employees come to work in a safe environment and leave at the end of each day injury free.”
Cepac provides bespoke state-of-the-art corrugated products across a wide range of sectors, producing innovative performance packaging and print solutions across its four UK plants at Rawcliffe, Darlington, Doncaster and Rotherham.
