Your role

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity to join the planning team at Rawcliffe. The main purpose of this exciting role is to plan the Production scheduling to obtain the most efficient operation of the plant including the Corrugator, Conversion and Assembly departments. The post holder will ensure the effective management of the Reel Stock system and the procedures involved, including the relevant computer systems, and plan the scheduling of the Corrugator and Conversion as required.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Planning Manager and working with a dedicated, experienced and successful team, the main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Daily monitoring of all paper transactions between suppliers, the reel store and the Corrugator and ensuring that the stocks balance throughout and at the end of each month.
  • Assisting Production in ensuring that month end stocks are 100% accurate for the purposes of the accounts.
  • Ensuring effective communications between all the departments and personnel involved in the Paper operation.
  • Assisting in all aspects of the running of business systems including CPMS (Witron) or Kiwi and cover in the event of other staff being absent such as ordering pallets and other components.
  • Checking on a daily basis, the feedback from the Corrugator and Conversion to match it with customer requirements.
  • Monitoring finished goods stock and W.I.P. to match any overs with future orders. To be effective the holder of this role will maintain close liaison with Sales, Manufacturing, Despatch and Senior Management personnel as required.
  • Achieving an effective control on Paper Stock and being involved every day in the smooth operation of the Production Planning Department to achieve Customer Requirements and satisfaction.
  • Personal development and flexibility are an essential part of this role and supplying effective cover in the absence of the Production Planning Supervisor is a requirement of the role.

THE PERSON

The successful candidate will be responsive to change and be able to make quick decisions. You will promote consistency and team work within the whole organisation via excellent communication skills, self motivated with a ‘can do’ and mentality. You will be literate, numerate and possess good IT skills.
