Multi-skilled Engineering Technician - Rawcliffe

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Engineering Team at Rawcliffe. Working as part of the planned maintenance team the post holder will carry out all forms of planned maintenance activities across all site assets You will carry out maintenance to your trade strengths but will also be expected to participate in the other engineering trade tasks.

The Job

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working as part of a dedicated, experienced and successful engineering team, the main responsibilities of the role are to:

• Promote excellent standards of Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Hygiene and Quality at all times, reporting any dangerous occurren ces or unsafe machine conditions.
• Attend and rectify any site breakdown in prompt manner.
• Assist in the Corrugator production process start up, one hour prior to the commencement of morning shift, on a rostered basis.
• To assist the Production Team in facilitating PMI/ TPM/ 5S/ Lean manufacturing and to promote standards including BRC, ISO9001 a nd ISO14001.
• Follow up and ensure completion of any task/defects are to a high standard.
• Identify and ordering of replacement parts for site production and ancillary equipment.
• Maintain Agility log and complete all work activity reports, including defect sheet and process confirmation sheets accurately.
• Carry out and support the development of the planned maintenance system.
• Ensure sufficient and detailed handover processes take place between shifts.
• Undertake project / installation work where required.

The Person

The successful candidate must have at least 2 years experience working in a maintenance role in an FMCG plant They must also have a minimum of 5 GCSE (or equivalent) A-C grades and a time served apprenticeship with a BTEC Level 3 ( minimum (or equivalent) The successful candidate will also be literate, numerate and possess good IT skills with experience of basic Microsoft Office packages.
