Your role

The Opportunity

Cepac is a leading independence manufacturer of corrugated packaging with four sites across the UK. Due to a leaver within the IT department we have an opportunity to join the Group IT Team, based at the Rotherham Head Office.

The ideal candidate will work within the IT Department to both manage and ensure that the IT infrastructure company-wide is running smoothly, along with supporting the team with any service issues.

The Job

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager and working within a team of experienced IT professionals, the main responsibilities of the role are to:

Support the team with any queries that come into the IT service desk, at all levels of difficulty
Maintain and develop multiple systems and infrastructures that are vital to the running of the business, such as the Microsoft On-Premises Infrastructure
Keep a record of the actions taken through thorough, concise, documentation.
Identify and develop new solutions to improve the business’ processes and present these to the relevant parties.
Be responsible for all server rooms – ensuring they are well maintained and kept clean at all times.
Escalate any issues that arise to the appropriate person to ensure the efficiency of the company.

The Person

Along with a positive and flexible attitude the successful candidate must have a Driving Licence and the following skills:

At least 3 Years experience working in a 3rd line role.
Deep knowledge and understanding of Networking. To at least CCNA Level. Knowledge of Windows based domain infrastructure – AD / DNS / Exchange / File-Print / DFS.
WIFI Technologies – Rukus, HP/Aruba, Cisco Meraki.
Telephony and Mobile Communications.
Cisco CCNA Qualified
VMware certification
ITL Foundation Certificate
University degree in the IT field or equivalent demonstratable industry skills.
Strong Communication (written and verbal) and People Skills.
Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
Excellent Organisational and coordination skills.
Ability to take initiative and work autonomously as well as within the wider team.
