Press Release: 11th December 2023 - Cepac Rawcliffe

Cepac has announced today, 11 December 2023, that it will commence consultation on operational changes at its Rawcliffe Bridge site.

The proposed measures, which would include cessation of corrugating activities at the site and replacement with bought-in sheet board, are targeted to improve competitiveness, quality and efficiency.

Cepac Group Managing Director, Steve Moss, commented. “We have invested over £10m in state-of-the-art conversion equipment at our Rawcliffe Bridge site over the past 12-18 months and it is essential that we optimise board production in what is an increasingly competitive market. We must be in a position to provide our customers with consistent quality excellence and the best customer service, if we are to grow and ensure the long-term viability of the site. Regrettably this proposed change is likely to result in a number of redundancies in direct and related roles across the business. However, we shall work very closely with our colleagues and their representatives in the coming weeks to ensure the best achievable outcomes for all employees and the business”.
