Your role

JOB PURPOSE

The position will involve finding, attracting & developing new added value, printed packaging & POS display business, for the Darlington & Doncaster sites.

Focus on finding and contacting new prospective customers to generate new opportunities in our target markets.

Attend meetings in person or online, to engage with prospective customers and promote the benefits of our product portfolio and offer.

Collaborate with the external sales team on newly generated opportunities to ensure business is both won and developed into longer term customer agreements.

Project management of some new opportunities, ensuring they are converted to orders.

To assist in new business pitches and contract negotiation.

This position offers clear progression into a business development manager for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a new business development executive, this person will be responsible for researching, contacting, and developing new business relationships, that strategically fit our target markets and products.

Working to agreed targets. They will be responsible for creation and development on new business leads and opportunities, that will form part of a robust new business pipeline.

Utilising our CRM and sales development tools to clearly demonstrate the development of the new business pipeline.

Working closely with the external sales team to ensure new opportunities are converted.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Have a desire to progress in a dynamic sales environment
  • Be confident in approaching prospective customers, via email, phone, social media, video or in person
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of administering their own activities in a CRM system
  • Be able to listen and interpret client requirements
  • Self-motivated & driven to succeed
  • Proactive & attentive
  • Capable of working to set objectives and to deadlines

Mandatory Skills

  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft office, Outlook, CRM, LinkedIn
  • Clean driving license
  • Strong relationship, communication, and presentation skills
  • Goals and objective driven
  • An ability to listen and translate customer needs in to design briefs and to engage support from internal personnel
  • As part of your role we will put you through a Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship. Sitting this qualification is mandatory

Desirable Skills

A knowledge of print or packaging would be beneficial, but not essential.

Some experience of FMCG products, retail or Ecommerce environments would also be beneficial.

Works with internal & external teams successfully, building relationship across all departments, in order to maximise effectiveness in the role.

External

Primarily the successful candidate’s external communication requirements will be focused on prospective customers. A key skill will be the ability to seek out and approach new leads, to extend our customer base.
