MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

  1. Support the design team and create 3D visual concepts using computer software to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate potential and existing clients.
  2. Create/Manipulate artworks to apply to prototypes and 3D created models to present to clients.
  3. Understand modern retail and shopper trends to ensure our designs and artworks maximise our clients retail sales.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  1. Creation of 3D visual concepts and models.
  2. Create artworks to apply to prototypes and 3D created models to present to clients.
  3. Create detailed presentation decks for the external sales team to ‘Wow’ customers.
  4. Work accurately and efficiently to supplied briefs.
  5. To provide cover for the reprographic function as required for leave or workload reasons
  6. Personal responsibility for efficient working methods within the studio, working tidily to encourage a presentable showcase to visitors when necessary.
  7. Attend creative & design briefing meetings as requested by the Design Studio Manager offering support and valuable input.
  8. Ensure that your own work is supplied accurately, efficiently and to the quality standards required by both the client and the company.
  9. Ensure that your own time is monitored and allocated where appropriate to chargeable jobs.
  10. Maintain a daily/weekly work schedule as requested, working collaboratively to keep other interested parties (Commercial, Client Services & Production) informed about project status and workload within the department.
  11. Work together with Client Services to present new products and services to enhance existing relationships.
  12. Attend industry functions as reasonably requested, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  13. Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that the company’s performance is continually enhanced.
  14. Show a willing attitude to continuous improvement and up-skilling.

 

GENERAL DUTIES:

  1. To uphold the values as set out in the Company Vision Statement
  2. To work quickly and accurately within set timescales
  3. To complete documentation in accordance with Company procedures
  4. To maintain good housekeeping when on site always observing health and safety requirements
  5. To communicate to your line manager any information which will assist in the smooth running of the department.
  6. To work in conjunction with your line manager to identify any training and development needs/requirements.
  7. To continuously strive for self-motivation, to be prepared to accept greater responsibility within the Company.
  8. Any other duties reasonably requested by Cepac Management.
  9. To understand and comply with all ISO systems in place and any other procedures relating to Company accreditations such as FSC & ISO.
  10. Re-locate to other group sites on a temporary basis as reasonably requested by Cepac management.
  11. Re-locate to internal departments on a temporary basis as reasonably requested by Cepac management.

 

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Relevant Design qualification/degree.
  2. 3D design experience. (Cinema 4D, would be an advantage)
  3. Graphic Design Experience. (Adobe CS, would be an advantage)
  4. Knowledge of digital print processes is beneficial.
  5. Technical and drawing skills desirable.
  6. Another creative media experience desirable e.g., photography/video.
  7. IT literate on PC operating system.

  1. Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair.
  2. An interest in creative/market trends.
  3. An attention to detail, and sense of pride in your work.
  4. A flexible approach when working in a team.
  5. Excellent communication skills to interpret and negotiate briefs with clients.
  6. Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues.
  7. Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time.
  8. Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs.
  9. Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs.
  10. An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
  11. Professional approach.
  12. Positive 'can do' attitude and able to work under own initiative and a strong work ethic.
  13. Good organisational skills.
